Throughout history there has been a constant debate as to whether entertainment influences the minds of people or not. I have found myself many times saying no, mainly because I feared that some liberties would be removed from me in order to decrease the roll that films and music play in my life. Oh and what a roll they play. In all honesty, yes, entertainment has given me a great influence. An undeniable influence.

But I cannot help to wonder what would happen if tomorrow our entertainment was censored, our imaginations put in line. What would it drive us to do or be? If we were molded into what some may consider as, “good” what would the outcome be? Imagine every show on television displaying only plots with great endings, a lost love found and rejoiced, a revelation of faith, a child born, success!

I cannot help but think that I would go mad.



It is the good AND the evil that makes us human. It is a view from all sides that helps us to finally see in all that is true. If you were raised to be only Christian and told you were a sinner if you chose to seek another point of view, then you my friend are without a doubt silenced. You are ignorant. You cannot think that all there is in this world is what you believe to be. No. You must understand, that you will never know what is to be, you must be thirsty for knowledge, you must never be satisfied. Because in this life, we will never find the truth. All there is, is to live and die.

Maybe we should stop questioning how entertainment influences us all, and start to ask, “how do we influence entertainment?” Today, you should make your mark. Make it well for all to see.
